The Flying Ace, 1926
Original Vintage Lobby Card Silent Movie Poster (11x14")

A First for CVTreasures !

A groundbreaking film from 1926.   This Super Rare lobby card is one of the very few that have ever surfaced for this nearly 100 year old spectacular aviation theme movie produced in Jacksonville, FL with an All Black Cast.  Though we have acquired (and currently have available) the one sheet and three sheets poster for this historic film, we’ve never had a lobby card.   This is a particularly choice lobby card with dramatic scene next to vintage plane!  (Note: Only two of the lobby cards in the eight card set featured a plane)

* Recently we were fortunate enough to acquire 7 vintage lobby cards, including the Title Card !

Condition:   Used for actual theater promotion in 1926, so has expected wear.  Some of the lobby card also have writing. However the writing is actually valuable provenance identifying some of the actors.    * See enlargeable image above

So many films from this time period have been lost forever, it is surprising this survived and can be viewed on YouTube. .
See the one minute Trailer for this film, HERE

And Here is the Part I video     - I think'll you agree these videos are a treat to watch !

Note:  We also have the stunning Three Sheet and One Sheet for this silent gem, along with six other lobby cards.  See then below under, “Other Vintage Treasures You Might Like”

The Flying Ace (Norman, 1926).  Lobby Card  (11" X 14").
Released in 1926, and starring Lawrence Criner and Kathryn Boyd, this film was a major hit for Norman Studios. Criner plays a World War I fighter pilot who returns home a hero. Peg Reynolds is Criner's sidekick, and together they rescue Boyd and her father from railroad thieves. The film boasts death defying feats in "the greatest airplane thriller ever filmed," but in reality, Norman shot all the airplane scenes with the plane on the ground. Even so, the film was a sensation, and grossed close to $20,000, which in today's money is more than a quarter million dollars, through Norman's distribution efforts.  Unrestored lobby card that may be slightly brittle due to age, show some paper loss, staining, toning, writing in the image and borders, pinholes, paper loss, and smudging.

You're not likely to see these 95+ year old Original Lobby Cards Again !
