Original Vintage TYPE 1 Publicity Press Release Photo
Starring Ted Healy & The Three Stooges

Ted Healy eavesdrops on zany Stooges, Moe, Larry & Curly

Amazing Super Rare Stooges Treasure!  Terrific piece of Classic Hollywood & Stooges History.

Before they became "The Three Stooges" headliners, Moe, Larry & Curly were second fiddle to Ted Healey who was credited with discovering them.   However, their relationship was short lived.  And any Original vintage movie paper on early Ted Healey/Stooges is practically nonexistent with a Rare find surfacing once every several years. .

This incredible photo is an original 1933 Type I with original studio typed notation on back identifying, "Ted Healy, Howard, Fine and Howard and Bonny"  .

Description: Plane Nuts, the 1933 Jack Cummings comedy short starring Ted Healy (most famous as the person who started The Three Stooges; they were first billed as "Ted Healy and his Stooges"; he let them go on their own, hiring replacement "Stooges", but that did not work out well at all!), The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard; billed simply by their last names!), Bonnie Bonnell, the Albertina Rasch Dancers, and Loretta Andrews

Note that first release 1933 movie paper from this comedy short is incredibly rare.    And based on our research no Original Type I photos from "Plane Nuts" have ever appeared on the market, until now, this one you see here!   A one sheet purportedly appeared several years ago and sold for nearly $20,000.

Overall Condition:  good. There are smudges and creases around the edges. There are stains in the bottom center. There is a piece of tape on the front of the left of the bottom blank border and a piece of tape on the back of a tear in the upper left border.  That said, you're not likely to ever see another Original from this title!

Guaranteed TYPE I Photo (photo taken and produced at time of event, NOT later reprint).
