Several years ago I acquired a Very rare Civil War I acquired a Very rare Civil War tintype photo of what appears to be a Back Soldier. The quality of the image is poor, and especially dark. It requires using flashlight ot brighten up the image to see it. Last year I thought about having it restored but discovered it would probably do more harm then good. So I hired a few digital restoration experts, but no one was able to produce anything of quality. Recently I tried using AI tools like Chatgpt and Midjourney, however because the image quality is so poor the AI tools could not recreate or restore anything that was close to the actual image.
Then I decided after a year of no success to once again look for some digital restoration experts and they all said they couldn’t do much with the image because it was so dark. However, I eventually found One professional that was able to do a digital restoration that resulted in something that was beyond my wildest dreams. See the results astonishing in the Restored digital image. The color version he did is even more impressive (not shown here).
